About Me

ABOUT ME

I live with my teen-sons, a boy who is 17 and a girl, 15 and their dad, and a cat. I'm sociable, easy going and talkative. I like walking, practising yoga, reading, listening to the radio, working in my vegetable garden

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think sharing is the only way to survive in this crazy world. I like meeting people, listening to different ideas and comparing different ways of life. I also think that what I do, could be an advantage for anyone else, relatives of mine or not. If we sow well, we could also harvest well with great satisfaction for everyone.
I would like to add my philosophy about my being a host. I do not answer to request that aren't specifically adressed to me. I'm not looking for anyone. I just offer if someone asks me. Ok?

Interests

Reading, travelling, meeting people, yoga, my vegetable garden, making bread, listening to the radio. We haven't got a tv at home, luckily and my link to the world is the radio and the net, besides newspapers, of course. I usually listen to radio tre, the Italian quality radio station. I know it may sound a bit posh, and actually is, but it is one of the few radio station worth listening to

Music, Movies, and Books

Very open-minded about music. My daughter who is 15 makes me listen 5Sos, and 1D, I listened to Hozier lately with my students but my heart still beats for what is the music I grew up with, I mean Pink Floyd, Weather report, Prince,UB40, King Crimson and many more. I also like Ben Harper very much
About books I read a lot in English and Italian. The last valuable book I read was Saramago "Blindness" and some other books of him. Lately I read "Revolutionary Road" and I think it's really worth reading

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing to Croatia, organizing school trips to Ireland in the most ethic way I can think of. But actually at almost 54 I don't know exactly what I should write. May be an amazing thing was having children when I had them, and actally it was, but now it's over, they are teen-agers now and it's the worst period of people life, isn't it? So whatever I think of my life, from my own point of view is amazing, because it's mine and I like it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Almost everything of me but it depends on when they come

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Spain
