cha cha cha i'm from the berkshires which is western mass. i am wicked into snowboarding, surfing, climbing, hiking, camping, backcountry anything. if i had to pick my most fav place i've lived it would be a hollow redwood stump in arcata ca. i used to hitchhike all over the country and camp everywhere. one day when i was alot younger i was walking thru the redwood forest after hitchhiking from flagstaff az to arcata ca i saw a redwood stump, it was twenty feet tall and hollow, w a little hole you could get into the center by. so i lived in it for three weeks. it was beautiful. everynight had a little fire in my stump an watched the stars move across the sky thru a redwood forest. i've hitchhiked from texas to mass, mass to cali, mass to montreal, cali to mass. i've met thousands of people doing this, and still want to meet a thousand more. my fav memory of my dad is him and i sitting on the hill next to the house at night watching the stars after bringing in a load of wood for the stove. he looked at me and said 'you know simon, there are some people that wake up in the morning, walk down the sidewalk to their car. then drive to work, park in a garage or the street or a parking lot. leave work at the end of their day and go to a store or home. and never during the course of their day do they touch the actual earth.' he told me that when i was about 11. i'll never forget it, nor will i ever be that person.
