Overview
About Me
Born and having grown up in a small city like Hong Kong, I have been following the "standardized" path in Hong Kong's society - study, get a job, work hard. After several years of working, I realise that the world is big and life could be more interesting. Therefore, I hope to go and feel different places and interact with different people to broaden my mind and expose myself to more diversified cultures. I also hope that my own experience could possibly inspire or enlighten other people.
My Strengths Finder results:
1. Analytical: able to think about all the factors that might affect a situation
2. Relator: enjoy close relationships with others
3. Harmony: look for consensus and seek areas of agreement
4. Communication: are good conversationalists and presenters
5. Responsibility: committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty
My Philosophies:
1. We can define our own success, we cannot please everybody
2. Be courageous - All you risk is nothing else, than a little disappointment
3. Light-hearted – learn to let go and move on in life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am interested in Couchsurfing because I would like to have more interpersonal connection with the people from the place I visit. Having engaged in conventional travelling visiting touristy spots and living in hotels in the past few years, I have came to understand that people are the most invaluable, and I now prefer to talk to more different people and let their stories inspire me. I hope that my experience and stories are also of others’ inspirations and enlightenment.
