About Me
Hi there! I'm an avid traveler originally from Iran, now calling Canada my home. Before moving here two years ago, I explored a lot of the world, from the bustling streets of Dubai and Istanbul to the historic corners of France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, and India. I even had the incredible experience of living in Istanbul for almost a year, a city that has left a lasting impression on me. Back in Iran, I took the time to travel extensively, visiting 29 out of the 31 provinces and soaking in the diverse beauty of my country.
Since arriving in Canada, I’ve continued my love for exploration, visiting Nova Scotia, Quebec, PEI, and Ontario. Nature is my passion, and you’ll often find me hiking whenever I get the chance. I also enjoy winding down with a good movie or TV series, and I occasionally dive into a book or podcast.
Though I’m naturally introverted, I genuinely enjoy socializing and getting to know new people—it’s a bit of a paradox I navigate! For me, travel is all about cultural exchange. I love immersing myself in new environments, learning about local customs, languages, and especially cuisines. That’s why when I visit a new country, I prefer to stay for a few weeks to truly connect with the place and its people.
One of my favorite ways to share my culture is through cooking, and I’m always eager to whip up a meal from the Middle East. I also have a deep interest in history, particularly the rich and complex history of the Middle East, and I’m always up for a good conversation about it.
Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and making new friends along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I stay with hosts, I’m excited about spending time together, exploring the local area, and sharing experiences. I initially joined Couch Surfing years ago, but a friend recently reminded me of the community, and I’m thrilled to give it another go. With accommodation costs being a bit of a barrier to my travel plans lately, I see this as a perfect opportunity to not only keep traveling but also to give back by hosting others when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had was living in Istanbul for almost a year. The city’s vibrant mix of cultures, history, and modern life was incredibly inspiring. From exploring the majestic Hagia Sophia and the bustling Grand Bazaar to simply sitting by the Bosphorus and watching the world go by, I felt a deep connection to the city. The experience truly shaped my perspective on life, blending the old with the new and embracing diversity in all its forms.
