ABOUT ME

I'm a smoothly awkward, opaquely transparent and highly short guy with a great love of beer and biscuits.
I'd say I'm quite the tie fighter, meaning I usually wear one, and would fight for the right to do so.
I work during the week, but that ends at the weekends, and then I'm in prime hosting shape.
I won't always be able to host, but (and because) when I do, I prefer to do it properly.
In any case, I'll at least make the effort to reply to any and all requests.

PHILOSOPHY

Politically, I'm a realist.
Ethically, I'm an utilitarianist.
Spiritually, I'm an atheist.
Personally, I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to meet lots of interesting people (and sometimes their furniture).
I did a month and a half long stretch of couchsurfing in Germany in 2013, so I've built up quite a lot of good CS graces that I'd like to dish out to fellow surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without exception very positive.

Interests

Flying circuses, and one in particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once got to sit down and fold paper planes with the chief of a Cree tribe in Canada. That was pretty awesome.
Doing the trans-Siberian railway with a bad back and a wheeled suitcase was also a lot of (uncomfortable) fun.
Turning the malt at the Laphroaig distillery by hand with a blinding headache and no memory of the previous night might still be my favourite one moment, though.
