Hey hey! I'm Lidia and I am studying theoretical physics (quantum information) at ETH Zurich. What else? I'm Portuguese, a bit messy, vegetarian, friendly, not that articulate. I like chocolate, frogs and surprises. I *need* to travel and to write. There is so much I would like to do. There is so much to explore. There is so much to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

Before everyone else, Virginia Woolf (The Waves!). Then this amazing book I just discovered, Instructions, by Neil Gaiman. Then the poets of my mother tongue, Fernando Pessoa, Vergílio Ferreira, Ruy Belo, Natália Correia, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, José Saramago. Finally, for now, Sci-fi: Herbert, Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, K. Dick. Movies: mais oui, Jeux d'Enfants!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I saw two rose-selling Indians fighting in Saint Michel, Paris. Kicking, punching and even beating each other with the flowers. Rosebuds flying. The ground covered with petals. La vie en rose.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about physics, maths, Portuguese culture, linguistics, maybe a little about theatre, board games and sci-fi. I am interested in learning everything, from survival skills to skating, cooking (veggie), juggling (many have tried and failed), languages, other sciences... Teach me everything you know.
