I am an obgyn resident in New York City. I grew up in Cleveland, went to college at Northwestern University in Chicago, and medical school in Columbus, Ohio. Now that I am in NYC I love my life here and everything this city has to offer!

I'm a photographer, a bookworm, and a lover of languages. When I'm not working my ass off for residency, you'll find me reading, cooking, watching TV, or just hanging out with friends.

I absolutely love the Spanish language and culture. I studied abroad in Madrid for one semester and had a blast. And of course I love traveling and meeting other people!

I have couchsurfed with various hosts in Europe, Morocco, and Japan, and each time has been a fantastic experience! I love spending time with locals from the city I'm visiting, and all my hosts have always been genuinely good-natured, helpful, and fun people.

I've hosted several people in Chicago and Columbus and enjoy the experience very much. There's a satisfaction that comes with providing a traveler with a welcoming and comfortable home for a few nights, teaching them about your city, and sharing your household with adventurous and kind strangers who happen to be passing through. Though I'm quite busy with residency right now, when I am done I would love to host people from all parts of the world.

Teach: I can teach other people Spanish or English. I make a wicked chai. (Not that fake stuff they sell you in cafés. Real Indian chai!)

Learn: Although I absolutely love the Spanish language, and have dedicated many years of my life to studying the language, I secretly have an affair with the French language! I would love to be able to speak French one day. And I'm a terrible dancer. It'd be great to learn how to ballroom dance or shake my hips like Shakira!
