Visit as many places and meet as many people as I can
I'm a small, energetic, passionate young woman who never stops moving and never sits still. In my world the most significant moments and experiences come from social interaction, and thus I try to meet as many people as I can.
Always say 'yes'
but to safe offers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far just travelling- I have yet to live in a situation where I can host.
But hey, if you're in the same city as I am lets check it out together- I have a knack for finding cool spots in cities I've been in for a day, and then remembering how to find them again.
Have surfed a lot around Europe, in Mexico and the DR, Thailand, and was a big part of the surfing community in Beijing. Hope to be able to host soon.
Language- so far Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, in order of aptitude. I love languages and have a goal of being highly proficient in 5 of them within two years' time.
Cooking and food of all types from everywhere- I am a firm believer that eating is one of the most profound and blissful experiences there is in this life.
Classic/art cinema- cinema is an art form, and many people don't appreciate it as such.
Literature, with a penchant for magical realism.
Music, of all kinds. I make my own contribution by singing opera and playing the violin. For a while I wanted to be an opera singer professionally.. and I still fantasize about it.
Dancing, in particular Argentine Tango, Salsa, Swing (West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy), Contra dancing, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite directors include: Tati, Renoir, Antonioni, Bergman, Fellini, Cassavetes, Sam Fuller, King Vidor, Tsai Ming Liang, Ozu
All kinds of music. I love classical, ambient, tango, rock, pop, etc etc.
Favorite authors recently include Hemingway, E.M. Forster, Marquez, Rainer Maria Rilke, Salinger, Calvino
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made a foreign country my own; felt truly at home in a language and place where I did not grow up. Feeling bicultural.
Teach, Learn, Share
Language is my great love, I would love to practice the ones I have studied and be introduced to those I haven't.
Cooking and food, recipes, dinners together. Food food food!!!
Conversation, both deep and superficial.
Life philosophy, ideals, perspectives, ideas.
