CURRENT MISSION

New classroom teacher! I'm working on developing my teaching practice in the most student-centered, inquiry based, creativity oriented way possible. I'm also working on figuring out the balance between stability and consistency and career with continuing to explore and be open and travel.

ABOUT ME

I'm a small, energetic, passionate young woman who never stops moving and never sits still. In my world the most significant moments and experiences come from social interaction, and thus I try to meet as many people as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been couchsurfing for a very long time, in the wonderful old days, and while I don't like the direction CS took, I still believe in the mission of sharing space and beautiful moments with fellow humans across the globe. I haven't used CS in a long time but I decided to log back in to see if it's still going, despite the changes - I hope to begin surfing again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed a lot around Europe, in Mexico and the DR, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, and was a big part of the surfing community in Granada, Spain and Beijing.

Centres d'intérêt

Language- so far Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, very well, German and Greek conversational, Chinese beginner, smatterings of a few others. I love being able to speak to people in their native language, and words stick in my brain- I'm so happy about that!!
Cooking and food of all types from everywhere- I am a firm believer that eating is one of the most profound and blissful experiences there is in this life.
Classic/art cinema- cinema is an art form!
Literature- I love reading and will happily take recommendations. Mostly novels and nonfiction about things I love- food, film, music, maybe history and politics.
Music, of all kinds. I make my own contribution by singing opera and playing the violin. For a while I wanted to be an opera singer professionally.. and I still fantasize about it.
Dancing, in particular Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Argentine Tango, Swing (West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy), Contra dancing, etc. Always looking to dance in new cities -- do you know where the latin dance or tango scene is at??
