我做过的一件不可思议的事情

On a visit to a rural village to conduct my research in Borneo, I met a village chief who captured a turtle and kept it in a fishing structure not far from the shore. The chief asked that the turtle is shown to me and it was a hapless juvenile green turtle!! I negotiated to the chief and asked for its release. On an exchange of 3 euro, the chief released the green turtle and i saw it swimming to its freedom. I still think about the turtle from time to time, I wonder if she is still good and alive.
