Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to live the way a dying man wishes he would have, see the heights and pits of humanity to gain an optimum appreciation for this life while I'm at it, then sit on my death bed with one hell of a story to tell.
ABOUT ME
At the moment I'm a bit of a work junkie, busting my ass to achieve the dream of getting paid to jump off buildings and make movies!
PHILOSOPHY
Live life the way you'd want to remember it.
Keeping the eventual hindsight in mind makes any good time all the sweeter and keeps the rough ones in perspective 'cause all the worst days make the best stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As often as possible! Though, unfortunately my hours haven't been conducive to hosting Couch Surfers very much lately.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This website has provided some of the greatest experiences of my life! Cheers to the ones who put this together and everybody else involved, 'cause experiencing the different cultures of people involved with this community stands shoulder-to-shoulder with seeing the pyramids of Egypt, walking the Great Wall, and admiring the Taj Mahal. Now that´s saying a lot. The idea of meeting up with damn-near complete strangers in a world going cold with paranoia originally stirred a little skepticism, but the unexceptionally warm embraces I received from fellow CouchSurfers - let alone the extent of their generosity - has felt like a wonder of the world to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Lately I've been hooked on The Lumineers. Recent favourites include: Modest Mouse, The Baseballs, Kings of Leon, The Dead Weather, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys(!!!), and Eddie Vedder. As for all-time favourites, that would include: Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, White Stripes/Raconteurs (Anything Jack White), Tribal Trance, Phillip Glass, Tchaikovsky, Transplants, The Doors, Zeppelin, CCR, Florence and the Machine, Otis Taylor, Miles Davis, some Mika, Sinatra, Pixies, Bowie, Hilltop Hoods, Regina Spektor, Lilly Allen, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Frightened Rabbit, Noah & the Whale, Sunparlour Players, Chilli Peppers, Pink Floyd, Beatles, most Rolling Stones, all Johnny Cash, and I'm always looking for more...
Books
If I had to pick favourites, I'd just say anything by Jon Krakaeur. Lots of love for Kerouac, Kesey, Hemmingway and Hunter S. Thompson as well. Unfortunately, it's very rare that I'm able to sit down with a book for than 3 minutes.
Last Read: Zealot, Freakonomics, The Road, Into The Wild, Of Mice and Men, Animal Farm, Sailor Song, Life of Pi, No Logo
Films
Docs: Dear Zachary, Capturing the Friedmans, The Corporation, Man on Wire, Grizzly Man (All things Herzog), Earthlings, Manifesting Maya, Inconvenient Truth (Mainly for the accomplishment of making a PowerPoint so compelling), and anything by Errol Morris.
Movies: The General, Forrest Gump, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Dr. Strangelove, Motorcycle Diaries, City of God, Adaptation (everything by Charlie Kauffman or Spike Jonze), Run Lola Run, Fight Club, Amelie, Let The Right One In, the Toy Story series, Glengarry Glen Ross (any David Mamet script), Taxi Driver, Persona, Royal Tenenbaums, all things Tarantino/Coen Brothers/Nolan/Kubrick/Chaplin/Hitchcock/Eastwood, I grew up on Jurassic Park & Indiana Jones, have a weakness for Lord of the Rings & the original Star Wars, prefer watching foreign/documentary/classic to 75% of what's mainstream today, and I'm a sucker for Kung Fu movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If a picture's worth a thousand words, and this video is three minutes and thirteen seconds long, then here are five million seven hundred and ninety thousand words to describe one hell of an adventure:
