camping in the desert near Jericho and waking up in the middle of the night staring at the gunpoint of a AK47 belonging to an Israeli army patrol. Groovy !

A 7 day solo hike in the Swedish mountains in the middle of winter carrying all food and supplies, negotiating deep snow, very cold temperatures, remoteness,...

Waking up in a Chinese hostel room close to Tibet, staring at a giant Tibetan cowboy in full dress who is standing in our room smiling and looking at us as if we were from Mars.

Cycling for two weeks in mid winter above the arctic circle in Sweden and Norway and surviving temperatures up to -20°.

Cycling for a whole month in Iran and blown away by astounding hospitality !!
