About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world a better place (sounds like a song, but it is such a good motto). To enjoy life to the fullest.

ABOUT ME

We are (insanely close) sisters living in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada/California. We are planning an autumn trip to Germany, France and the Netherlands to see the land of our ancestors. We have always been obsessed with learning and can not wait to be overwhelmed by the European experience.

PHILOSOPHY

You catch more bees with honey.
Leave people, things, places better than you found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2008, my sister and I took our first (so far only) trip to Europe. We stayed with some amazing people and those tended to be some of our favorite memories.

I have also lots of different people, from people who were here for a week at a convension, to people passing through, to people just visiting.

Burning man tends to be a popular time for burning man. I have hosted burners from England, Germany, Australia, New York, Oregon, Florida....I know I am missing some more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We stayed with some amazing people in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Each stay gave us a new perspective on the area and the people. Our favorite parts of the trip were the times we were staying with CSers. The CS experience made our journey that much more enjoyable and memorable. Thank you to everyone we stayed with, it was AMAZING!!!

I have many hosting memories, but I will only share a few. There was this couple who stayed with me for 4 or 5 days. They were the most wonderful cooks. I still drool over this fritatta that they made with amazingly seasoned pork and veggies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been whale watching several times and each time on the open sea has been amazing.
I snowboard in the Sierras above Lake Tahoe and the views (particularly of the lake) are fantastic!!
My sister and I have visited the town of our namesake in the Neatherlands. We thought it was super exciting to see our name everywhere. If you can't enjoy the little things....

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pair of productive "green thumbs" and the garden to prove it. I am also an avid environmentalist, taking the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle motto to heart. I love trivia and board games and such. I love to learn.
