About Me
Hello! My name is Eli, and I was born in the late 90s in a small city on the southeastern coast of China.
I studied preschool education in university, but after graduating, I ended up working in sales.
I’m passionate about learning languages and currently speak Mandarin, English, and Japanese(N1), with some understanding of Korean and Cantonese. I’m also eager to learn German(now A2) and French in the future!:)
I have been to Japan, Korea, and Thailand, as well as many cities in China. And I’ve had some Couchsurfing experiences before, and I’d love to meet new people. I’m friendly, respectful, and will always make sure to keep the room clean and not disturb anyone. I’m looking forward to becoming friends and sharing cultural experiences with you!
Couch surfing is not the last choice, it's my lifestyle! LOL
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve always been curious about different cultures and enjoy connecting with people from all over the world.
Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to not only travel but to truly immerse myself in new places through the experiences of locals. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make meaningful connections, exchange stories, and learn about a culture from a personal perspective.
Plus, I love the idea of staying with people who can share their local insights and hidden gems that you won’t find in travel guides. I believe Couchsurfing is all about creating lasting friendships and being open to new experiences!XD

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is that I self-studied and successfully passed the Japanese JLPT N1 exam. It was a huge personal achievement for me, as it required months of dedication, discipline, and perseverance. I didn’t have formal classes, but I immersed myself in the language through books, online resources, and speaking practice with friends. Passing the N1 exam not only improved my Japanese language skills but also taught me a lot about the value of self-motivation and setting long-term goals. It was a challenging journey, but one I’m incredibly proud of.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to teach you Chinese. I'd be happy if you would teach me French or German.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe I can share a lot with my hosts, not only in terms of cultural exchange but also through mutual learning and conversation. As someone who speaks multiple languages (Mandarin, English, Japanese, and a bit of Korean and Cantonese), I can help with language practice or share insights about my own culture, especially Chinese traditions, food, and history.
I’m also passionate about traveling and enjoy discussing different perspectives and travel stories. If you’re interested, I can teach you some basic Chinese phrases, introduce you to Chinese cuisine (I enjoy cooking!), or even share tips on how to get the most out of travel in China. Above all, I’m friendly, respectful, and always open to helping in any way I can—whether it’s cleaning, offering company, or just having a good conversation.
