I'm Sjoerd, an anthropology student from Amsterdam, Holland. I love to experience differences, that's why I am travelling now together with my husband for a whole year. I'm into theatre, music and dance. I really enjoy getting in crazy situations (for some reason, I get in a lot of them:)!). Besides the fact that I like to have fun a lot, I'm pretty political as well...

Better sorry than safe! I want to experience everything, simply because I'm privileged to aexperience all these things. I want to be good to the people around me, and maybe even to the others when I have the chance...

I really believe the Couchsurfing community should be a model for communities in general: altruistic, interested in other people and fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different kind of styles. On one hand I can enjoy big Hollywood movies (like Lord of the Rings), but movies that are kind of arty (like Amelie, Dutch movies, Requiem for a dream etc.) really make me happy.
I have to read a lot for my study which I really like. I'm into every type of music and love to make music myself.

Being together with my best friend and husband Jaco. Never a dull day when we're around!

Teach, Learn, Share

My husband (a pianoplayer, singer and couchsurfer too) and I love to make music. Besides that I'm an anthropology student, so I know a lot about culture in general and about "gender" in particular.
