ABOUT ME

My name is Shannon and I've spent the past six years designing and running sales and leadership courses. I recently left the business world to pursue a Masters in Couples and Family Therapy at University of Oregon because I love learning about people.

I was raised in Virginia and finished my undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill. I've lived in many different states, including Arizona for the past eight years. I've also lived in London and traveled a lot in Western Europe, Argentina, Morocco, and Central America.

They say that you'll be the same person in five years except for the people you meet and the books you read. I try to take every opportunity to travel, meet new people and experience new things. I'm excited to face the physical, mental and emotional challenges that this life will bring.

PHILOSOPHY

We judge people by their actions, but we judge ourselves by our intentions. Wouldn't be great if we reversed that, even for a day?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoyed the couch surfing community in Eugene. So far, it has been a great way to meet cool people and hear lots of travel stories! Now I'm in Arizona and I hope to host more as a way to "pay it forward!"

I'm currently reading the memoir: Wild Swans,Three Daughters of China and A Prayer for Owen Meany; I love Camus, John Irving and pretty much anything existential.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent last summer trying to learn Spanish in Argentina and this summer I'm biking across America to raise money for MS. www.BiketheUSforMS.org
