ABOUT ME

Hey everyone. My name is sjors ( george) and i am 22 years old. Together with my girlfriend Lizet 21 am I making a trip around the world in 4 months.

We will be going to thailand-malaysia- singapore - australia - new zealand - fiji - hawai and the usa.

Before our trip we worked a year in Ireland. In cork and dundalk first in hotel reservations and then selling pens. We know a lot about pens ( those things you write with). And a lot about hotels. We saved enough money to make this trip, but together we do not meet as many people as we liked to have.

That is why we would like to visit you!

PHILOSOPHY

To me life is all about experiences. Have a positive mind and do not complain so much. Everything will work out in the end.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the whole couchsurfing concept. We heard a lot of stories from people who couchsurfed before and said it was the best way of travelling.

A few years back my mother occasionally swapped houses for 2 weeks. So it was a bit like couchsurfing. This way i got to spend time in other peoples houses. Thanks to this I have seen palm beach and lyon in a completely different way.

Interests

At the moment we want to squeeze as much out of the countries we are going to visit. We try to see as much as possible and mostly walk all day to see the tourist highlights. We like to do this as cheap as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books : jack reacher, game of thrones , stephen king , harlan coben.
Movies: Lord of the rings, the matrix, donnie darko, requiem for a dream
Music : Arctic monkeys, muse, dire straits , the dandy warhols, alternative rock in general

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We are wild for animals. We love them. Not the behind the glass thing what we have in europe. But to feed, touch and ride animals is amazing.

We have done a lot of things since we are here in Southeast Asia what we believed to be impossible. Riding elephants, petting tigers and feeding giraffes. I know for people who live in south east asia that this does not sound as thrilling but for us it was awesome.
