About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To struggle with love.

ABOUT ME

I love cooking and sharing food with friends and strangers. I am an avid hiker of mountains and forests and rugged coastline. I forage everywhere I go: nettles, mushrooms, shellfish, and lots of berries. I find immense joy in working and playing with children. I relish authentic moments of connection with people, animals, and the earth itself. Music inspires me, everything from progressive Seattle hip hop (Blue Scholars, Gabriel Teodros, Common Market) to old time folk and jug band music (I play clawhammer banjo!). I'm into building community wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this project but have been involved in many cooperative endeavors over the years (food coops, community gardens, Food Not Bombs, cooperative housing, and more). I like the idea of this network and have been meaning to sign up and contribute for a while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Looking forward to my first host and my first surf!

Interests

Hmm...good sci-fi novels, listening to jazz on vinyl, planting a garden from seed, baking drop biscuits, passionate discussions, organizing for a better world for all of us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taught a child to read.
