About Me

I'm a 22-year-old Croatian who just went into his travel phase. Unfortunately I don't have the conditions to host yet but I hope I can fix a room soon so I can give something back to the wonderful travellers of the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I'm on Couchsurfing? Well in the craze of the 21st century, with the internet, various ways to travel and ways to stay, couchsurfing sounds like the greatest thing.

Interests

My main passion is literature and I really love and want to read every great book of the past. I go to concerts and want to learn to play a lot of instruments, I love film and filmmaking, especially editing. I study history and sociology and I think it's a great combination (In Croatia some colleges offer two parallel courses). I'm not an extrovert but if I meet a fun, outgoing person I'll most likely start blabbing and make dumb puns.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to explore music so I don't really have on favourite artist. I love John Fahey and Pink Floyd, mostly guitar driven music and a bunch more. So I'll just link my last.fm here:

I have yet a bunch of films to watch. I love the classics and films that leave me in a trance. I love Bergman, Kurosawa and Kubrick. I really like Apocalypse Now and the Coen Brothers. Europe has some great films that get overlooked. My favourite documentary is either Samsara or 21 x New York, but I watched Living in A Material World the most because I think George Harrison is fucking great.

The last books I read and I found amazing were:

Angels by Denis Johnson
Stoner by John Williams
The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac
The Tartar Steppe by Dino Buzzati

The writers I read the most was Franz Kafka and Kurt Vonnegut. I always recommend two Croatian writers: Ranko Marinković and Slobodan Novak. The former has a novel called Cyclops and a collection of short stories called Hands which I think are the most beautiful books I will ever read.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always try to learn about peoples favourite places, how your hometown is like, how the place you're living in is like. Share your stories!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Greece, Italy, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In
