Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To never stop learning new things.
ABOUT ME
I'm someone who is often curious and always keen to learn something new. Luckily I have a job that enables me to learn new things every day while (trying to!) have a positive impact on the world.
I'm told I'm a bit of a contradiction because I'm girly and gay; a nerd and a ditz; passionate and vague; sensible and silly. I spend lots of time with my friends, have a slight coffee addiction, am interested in what is happening in the world, and like riding my bike along the beach (rather slowly). I'm not a very good cook, but know lots of good cafes.
PHILOSOPHY
Embrace opportunities, keep an open mind, ask lots of questions, try to see things from different perspectives, be aware of what I don't know, try not to be wasteful, treat everyone with respect... except bigots. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed with lovely people in Europe and Japan, and met up with people in my hometown for a drink or to show them around Melbourne. I love my city so am happy to introduce it to other people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies that make me laugh or make me think.
I'm into lots of different music. I quite like most mainstream pop/rock, but also like lots of alternative rock, electro-pop and indie music. I go to see live music quite often, from big-name rock bands to friends-of-friends playing at the local pub.
I like reading the newspaper each morning. I also shamelessly lie on the beach reading science non-fiction (usually just pop science). Other than that I tend to be lazy and read trashy crime fiction (or Harry Potter, again).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Abseilled down a waterfall (recommended!)
Eaten raw puffer-fish intestines (not recommended!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I studied zoology so know lots about Australian animals and some basic science things. Now I work for the government so I can tell you about that, but it might be more interesting for me than for you!
I am not a very good cook but I know lots of good restaurants, cafes and coffee spots.
