I'd like to think I'm a pretty laid-back and chill dude!

PHILOSOPHY

The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm moving cross-country from Pasadena to Baltimore, so I hope to crash on a couch here or there and meet some new and interesting people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! My girlfriend recently joined CS though, and seems to be enjoying herself. Hopefully we can become more involved when we're both in Baltimore.

Interests

Things I enjoy: music (listening to and playing), spending too much money on music (records and concerts), (astro)physics, reading (books), eating (food), cooking (food), drinking (drinks), building (things), and watching (movies and television).

Occasionally, if I'm feeling ambitious: snowboarding, camping and hiking, surfing, and playing sports. I play on our Astronomy Department IM teams - basketball (Dwarf Stars) and softball (Big Bangers).

I saw Arcade Fire play to a tiny crowd of 250 under the redwoods in Big Sur, and then managed to crash their afterparty in Los Angeles later that week after a series of rather lucky coincidences!
