About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Shuggy on the road. 6 months backpacking.

ABOUT ME

Hello! Name's Stephanie but most call me Shuggy but either's great. I have been travelling around Australia/New Zealand and will be backpacking around Southeast Asia for the next 4 months (and hopefully longer). Love exploring cities, finding markets, visiting museums, meeting people who are enthusiastic about their towns. Hiker, recently-certified advanced SCUBA diver, and love exploring any thing relating to nature. Attempting to teach myself photography/videography so advice/lessons always welcome!
Love to joke around with people, talk about travelling, hear bad jokes/puns, and enjoy walking anywhere and everywhere.

PHILOSOPHY

“Tourists don't know where they've been, travelers don't know where they're going.” -Paul Theroux

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Eclectic is to put it lightly. I'll just put the most recent of each I've seen/read/heard and enjoyed. Movie-Life of Pi (also have read), Book-The Fry Chronicles by Stephen Fry, Music-Ascent by Brian Eno and Arrival of the Birds by The Cinematic Orchestra.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Why one?! There are so many amazing things in this world. Visiting the Alps in Switzerland, diving a coral-covered shipwreck at 30 m in New Zealand, snorkeling with manatees in Florida, playing in Wli Falls in Ghana, New Orleans Mardi Gras, Grand Central Station in New York City, and so much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn to sail/crew a boat
Learning foreign language phrases
Drive a manual transmission

Can teach: English, handstands, how to identify plants/biology, how to swim, baking, etc.
