CURRENT MISSION

An adventurous couple leaving Canada June 2011 to embark on a RTW journey. We plan on being away from home for 15 months, and hope to CS quite a bit along the way.

ABOUT ME

Skott and Shawna met at work in 2008, where we fell in love, and were married under the sun two years later just outside Regina. We are two career-focused individuals with a passion for health, travel and life. Before we met each other we did our share of solo travelling, with one of the two of us spending time in Ghana, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Australia, England, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

One year after getting married we spent 15-months on the road June 2011 - September 2012, spending time in the following countries: England, Scotland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Mali, Ghana, Jordan, Israel, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and the western USA.

We are competitive, energetic, love to cook, drink red wine, enjoy this fine, fine world.

Also, we were once told that "the whiter the bread, the sooner your dead." We like that one...keep your grains whole!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are currently hoping to build a little CS karma and host as much as we can, so that we can stay on other hosts' couches while we travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted a few times in Regina, prior to our trip, and then CSed a little in Italy and Spain. Truthfully, we probably haven't used this site as much as we should have while travelling.

Centres d'intérêt

We have a huge list of interest...travel being one of them, as listed above. Other interests include folk festivals, wine (usually red, but we have been known to enjoy a bottle of white wine on a warm summer day), golf, running, spin classes (Shawna teaches), football (mostly Skott), great coffee, home renos and volunteering.
