Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and surfing people from CouchSurfing and friends of course.
Sometimes participating to CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always had good experience since I'm on CS.
I have surfed only twice but it was with a friend's account, seing how awesome was this idea and how nice were people on this network, I've opened this account right after coming back from our trip !

I also love to crash at friends and stay at theirs for a night, and they're of course always welcome at mine.

Interests

Dark ages and mythology/feary :)
I like history about the "Dark ages" (~1000AC), and everything related to fantasy like mythology!
I even started reenactment a couple of years ago. :)

Nature in general, I like to walk in the parc at night, hike in the mountains, watch documentaries about animals, etc... I might disappoint you but that doesn't mean I am vegetarian! I love meat :) (and food more generally ;p )

I also like to help people, teaching them things I know (if they want to), cooking for them or just cheer them up with some beer and good talk :)

And many other things...
The main one being LIVE THE LIFE !

  • animals
  • dogs
  • singing
  • documentaries
  • dancing
  • dining
  • cooking
  • beer
  • vegetarian

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to read a lot about fantatry, know i'm trying to diversify my litterature background.

Movies... from horror to comedy through documentaries, drama etc.
I don't really enjoy US blockbuster, but I can watch them if it's for free and if I don't want to think too much :)
I prefer movies from Kusturica, Fatih Akin and others "small" producers.

Music... depends on mood and people I'm going out with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been 1 week in Lapland, during winter time... It felt like "Into the Wild" (but with friends) if you know what I mean..

Once we met a dog in a small polish village near the Czech border, he's been following us through mountains and forests for hours. I wanted to take him with us in the train but he probably had a master somewhere... I wonder how he is doing now.

One thing that I will always love : sitting by a fire camp, with friends, drinking, sharing stories, and as the night goes, people start to sing, dance, play instruments etc... Amazing things always occur during those nights !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook "Omelette du fromage"... (actually we say "Omelette au fromage" so here was your first French lesson ;p )
I can teach you... French and a bit of English! :)
And many other things too ! :)

There are so many things I'd like to learn... play drum, dance salsa and rock, speak a proper Polish, and so on...

Oh, I am very interested in why there are so many different languages, and how come some of them are really close but still differ (Slavic, Latin, Germanic, Scandinavian...).
When you think about it, we all come from the same species, we are all one race, how come do we speak so many languages?
I don't see this as a bad point... I think languages are the most beautiful things you can learn ever!
This is just a simple curiosity...

What I Can Share with Hosts
