Get younger year by year and at least try to give more than I take out of this world.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in seven countries. Most of my working life was in the shipping business in UK, South America, Sweden, Mexico and The Netherlands.
I was married but divorced my Swedish wife Christina in 1993.
My home base has been the Czech republic since 2001 but will probably switch to France in 2012.
Three nicknames friends have given me are:
Mr Happy, Michael The Legend & Mr Persistence.
I tend to mix with far younger people and usually feel more myself in a younger age set.
I am not too good at staying serious for long. I find life is too short for that but naturally I respect others.

PHILOSOPHY

Aim to obtain and keep a reasonably high self-esteem.Remember as much as possible those around me and not simply myself. Try to leave this world a slightly better place when I have gone.

Having travelled a lot and with friends all over the world, I can usually participate in conversations with new people. I have never pretended to be any form of intellectual but neither am I stupid.

I rarely see a movie.
I like most types of music but it always depends on the occasion and one's mood.
I read far too little but enjoy autobiographies, thrillers and travel stories.
