Hey! I'm Skye. I've just graduated college and have Associates and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music with a minor in Digital Media. I can be shy but I'm pretty laid back and can be outgoing if I'm comfortable. I like to joke around a lot, have fun, and deep conversations are a favorite past time too. I don't do any drugs but enjoy alcohol in social settings.

I've played music in bands since I was 14. I'm also an avid reader, movie lover, and enjoy games of all kinds. I'm on a podcast called Tape Talk. I'm also a massive fan of The X-Files and Nickelodeon's Doug. Nostalgia for the 90's.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to music my friends make but I like singer-songwriters, pop punk, Beethoven, bluegrass, Hank Williams, Streetlight Manifesto, Maximum The Hormone, j-pop, metal, thrash, and very little rap/hip-hop.

My favorite movie is Zodiac but I like a bit of everything. Horror especially but also really enjoy fantasy, paranormal, crime dramas, comedies, and some anime.

I enjoy books like Harry Potter, Youth In Revolt, and various traveling, paranormal, fantasy, etc. Manga is good too but I have my faves like Akira and DBZ.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a student ambassador for People To People in 2010 and traveled to France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy for 21 days!

I've also hopped freight trains, hitchhiked, and ridden Greyhounds cross-country.

I've toured the west coast and midwest with my music.

Traveled from Tokyo to Nagasaki by myself for 23 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some music as well as colloquial English. I've done a lot of traveling as a musician across the United States, Europe, Hawaii, Bahamas, and Japan so I can teach some things about that.

I want to learn as much as possible about Japan, the language, the culture, and everything about the country!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with anything there is to do around the house or whatever. I'm up for anything and everything within reason. I'm just gracious for the company and whatever needs to be done, I'm on it. I'm not a very good cook though! I can pull my own weight and abide by any rules.
