Seth and I have a dog, Louie. He's usually with us. He's turned me into a sappy dog person. He's an 8 year old Blue Heeler. A people pleaser and good around animals and children. He will try to herd folks into a group, if he's not doing his job of catching Frisbees. I am a Social Worker and a Nutritionist and I'm taking classes in computers/web design. Seth is an independent contractor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel quite a bit, off and on. I've not used Couchsurfing yet. I'm starting to like the idea of exchanging culture and lifestyle, ideas, experiences in a way that doesn't have to involve consumerism. It's a great idea for both saving money and spreading the idea of community that I think is missing in "our society (sorry for that phrase, but...)." We get to participate in the shaping and enhancement of society and I forgot that for a bit.

I really love my new place and new area (outside of Portland in the Gorge area), and I'd love to share that too.

Interests

Food, philosophy, travel, music,... I'm pretty good at darts (steel tip, old fashioned- parlor game darts), astrology, politics, humor (raw or vulgar is fine or clean and clever), astrology, nutrition, dogs, hikes, learning web graphics (never thought that'd be the case), a lot of stuff, sometimes I seek to do nothing, or just enough, or more.
