I am an active and outdoorsy person who loves to travel and explore. Though I have a bit of a shy side, I pretend not to because I love to make new friends! I have worked around the States and in New Zealand as a biology technician, and will hopefully go to graduate school soon. Sadly I do not have a couch of my own to offer (side effect of being a nomad), but if anybody is going to be travelling in New Zealand or the western United States, I will happily answer questions and help however I can!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'll be traveling solo through Europe April, May, and early June of 2017. Other travellers have recommended Couchsurfing as a fun way to meet locals and get a more inside perspective to the area. If I make a new friend along the way, or am able to return the favour somehow, all the better!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I listen to everything from Irish folk to classic rock and new rock to Spanish guitar and most things in between. Rap and its close cousins, not so much. The High Kings, Journey, Bon Jovie, .38 Special, Bryan Adams, Nickelback, Pitbull, Usher, the Gipsy Kings...too many to caIl a single favourite! I love live performances, be they music, dance, or plays, local band in a pub or a national company.

Movies! My go to genre is action/adventure. Not a fan of thriller/horror and slapstick comedies. Some favourites are Lord of the Rings, the Lion King, the Martian, Blood Diamond, and the Bourne trilogy. A child at heart, I still love the classic Disney movies.

Books: I am a biblioholic--addicted to reading. I read lots of fiction--adventure and fantasy--with the occasional travel tale, thriller, nature journal, biography...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I went to New Zealand for a study abroad year, got a job (biological field tech) after graduating, and stayed an extra year. It was a mix of travel, backpacking in the mountains, running around outside doing fieldwork, and a bit of study thrown in. New Zealand is an incredible country, and an outdoor enthusiast's dream!

Thanks to an insatiable sense of curiosity and a love of trying new things, I'm always down to learn and experience new things. It's one of the many reasons why I travel!

I am friendly and outgoing, and love to participate and help people. I am good with kids and animals, and am more than happy to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening...some way to repay the kindness of hosting me.
