About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I strive for a musical voice, wandering feet, and an open heart.

ABOUT ME

I live to play my guitar, I love to sing, and I'm kind of weird. I like to think I am well adjusted and very well mannered, and I know that I am great in conversation and "people skills." I love telling and hearing stories, and within the next some-odd months, my partner Matt and I will be wandering for an undetermined amount of time, with no particular ending destination planned. I'm hoping I'll find myself with more than a few new yarns to spin. I also hope to run into a few musicians on the road that I could learn a thing or two from, as I rarely meet another musician where I am living currently.

I don't drink often, but will on occasion. I am a chain smoker of cigarettes, both right and left handed (420), but would gladly hold off on smoking either around company if requested.

I also really like pizza. Like, a lot. And masala chai.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is music, and I intend to sing and dance. You are who you choose to be. The world is not ending. I will explore. I will dream. I will discover. I will not cling to the bottom of the river bed. I will bend with life. I am a tree, and I will grow and grow and grow and grow and grow...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping that after I figure out where I'm supposed to be in life, I can start hosting surfers. That way, I could continue to meet amazing people, hear their stories, and help them along their way, even though I would be tethered down to one place myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My only real CouchSurfing experience was a brief period of homelessness that followed my coming out to my mother. Even though it was a rough time, I found comfort in the uncertainty of my situation, and have grown to feel quite claustrophobic if my life is "orderly and stable."

Interests

Music is my ultimate passion. Among the many things that make me smile and think, music is the big one. I feel like there is always a song in my head that I can't get over, like a puzzle or a riddle, and I use a guitar to try to solve it. I love singing, but am not confident in my own abilities just yet. With my partner and I vagabonding soon, a lot of my time recently has been applied to selling things, making a game plan, and reading up on the topic. Once in a while I get distracted by a book or film, but for the most part I spend my time behind my pretty blue guitar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had a fascination with the Titanic ever since I was very small, and very recently I had the chance to see a large portion of the hull that was recovered from the ocean floor, along with thousands of other artifacts. It was a powerful, moving experience that I am so lucky to have had, thanks very much to my Matt.
