About Me
CURRENT MISSION
explore, explode, love, change, plant roots, grow wings. to see other versions of sustainability and the possibilities of loving evolution/revolution
ABOUT ME
i write kids books and skip double dutch. i love people and newfoundlands. queer. dual us / irish citizen. activist. anarchist. street-medic-in-training. sober. vegetarian. dumpster diver. i'm learning to sail - got a boat to teach me on? actually, i'm out to learn pretty much any skill, and am willing to trade any of the ones i've got. no expertise required. cool with embarrassing myself in public. would love to travel the country/world in a circus. serious when i say my motto is 'safety third.'
PHILOSOPHY
safety third. i think safety is important enough that it should be in the top three things i think about, most of the time, but as i only definitely know that i have one go around on this big ball of water-and-rock, i don't feel i can let it be my primary concern.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have never participated in this community directly, though i've put up lots of people on my couches who were in the CS community, and stayed on the couches of same. but looking to do this in a broader way now. not sure if i'm about to embark on some travels in the next month, or get a place where i can host people but one or the other i'm excited.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i've really loved staying in large communal political queer anarchist squat feminist farms cities, or any thing that is some combination of those.

Teach, Learn, Share
partner acrobatics, copyediting, poi, first aid.
one of the best ways to start doing partner acro stuff is to just practice holding each other. try different positions, different balances. lean your weight towards each other, or grasp each other by the wrist and counterbalance away from each other. see what feels comfortable. see what feels scary. learn from both.
