About Me

West coast tour: currently in Portland, OR, next stop: Seattle, WA

I'm a nurse with lots of interests; after one year of nursing under my belt, I'm seeking creativity and balance in my life while in-between jobs. I enjoy being active, biking around Brooklyn, art/music/drawing, coffee, and meeting new people. I am content in most situations, happy to observe the environment around me.

I think it's important to be open-minded and to have respect for others. Although I live in NYC, I believe in comity.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

My friend Edward drove around the country and told me about the wonderful world of CS. I've had all positive CS experiences so far & am willing to host visitors in my city for "coffee or a drink." CS = opportunities

It's been the best way for me to be less anonymous in a new place.

Outdoor adventures, people (the elderly), animals (cats), shadows, arts & crafts, thrift shopping, legumes, strawberry cream cheese on NY bagels, touristy stuff, sending postcards.

Music, Movies & Books

Right now I'm reading Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut. I recently finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. I like anything involving Steve Martin and most Woody Allen movies.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Last week I climbed the massive, slanted rock at Vasquez Park outside of L.A. Pretty cool!
