Overview
About Me
Some random "facts" about me:
I am easy going (at least I like to believe so);
Am always very curious to discover new human beings and will sometimes express that curiosity by asking an infinite variety of questions (my brain just never stops inventing questions... please feel free to not respond to any of my questions) ;
Am connected to my emotions and love interacting with people who aren't scared to be connected with theirs;
I love discovering different systems of beliefs, spiritualities, cultures and won't impose my beliefs on you although I will gladly share if asked to;
I cherish deeply nature and all living beings (except maybe for mosquitos and a few other flies). I try to have a lifestyle that is as much in alignment as possible with this love for life (it also is the best strategy I've found to numb my eco-anxiety);
I very enjoy moving and need to be active but I excel as well in daydreaming and chilling (it is all a matter of balance);
I love food and people who love food
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be on sabbatical during the year 2021-2022. During this sabbatical year, I would like to meet with locals wherever I go to enrich my journey and experience true cultural exchange.
Interests
I love dancing (salsa, contact improv, 5 rhythms), singing (although I tend to be shy when not alone), writing, cooking (and eating of course), am passionate about non-violent communication (Marshall Rosenberg's approach) and attracted to different spiritual/self-healing practices. I don't consider myself as an artist but love being surrounded by creative souls as they contribute to the beauty of life and support me in my desire to liberate my own creativity.
I really enjoy as well doing outdoor activities : hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming in lakes or the ocean, paddling, surfing (very beginner), climbing (beginner), name it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can enjoy all music styles except heavy metal... I tried to open my ears to it but was never able to. I grew up listening a lot to french songwriters but love jazz, flamenco, samba, bossa nova, latin music, pop, rock and so on.
I sometimes watch movies but in the last years I've worked way too many hours in front of the computer and my eyes just want to run away from the screen whenever possible. Movies might become again a part of my life now that I am on sabbatical.
The last novel I've read that moved me was "The Old Man and The Sea" of Hemingway.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked the route to Santiago de Compostela from St-Jean-Pied-de Port (at the France and Spain border) to Finisterre in Spain, a 1000 km walk.
