I was born and raised in Ojai, California. I have spent most of my life around these parts, but have also made many excursions through WWOOF to visit farms around the United States. I have always worked with food, wine and parties, all of which I consider to be aspects of the entertainment industry which is my true passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I created a Couchsurfing account to make connections with residents of Atlanta. Thankfully I was able to stay with a kind host while finding an apartment.

Then I was hosted by several gracious individuals in France as I searched for a great theatre school.

Now I would love to pay it forward by showing you around Ojai. Unfortunately I am unable to host you in my home but I would be more than happy to meet up and offer any help I can.

Favorite band has always been Gorillaz. Their eponymous debut album was the second CD I have ever owned, right after Weezer's Green Album.

Movie: It is a tie between Wayne's World and The Big Lebowski.

Book: Entertainment-wise, The Three Musketeers. Education-wise, Autobiography of a Yogi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote and recorded the score for a feature-length film put together by some of my friends. I have recorded at least one hundred songs spanning many genres, many of which are on my soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/bopermans.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been a professional cook and winemaker for all of my adult life, so I might have a bit of knowledge to share in those realms. I have also traveled light a fair amount, so I can offer advice in that area. I play many instruments and can draw fairly well so I am always happy to share those skills.
