About Me
...I was lucky to grow up mostly in a small, calm towns surrounded by rivers and forests near by. Love to live in a green landscape surroundings, where I can breath fresh air, swim in a sparkling spring waters, listen to the silence, play with animals
I consider Nature as my mother, who is always here to feed me, to calm, to embrace me.... so much to learn, I feel home, thats where I belong. My father - is my Guru, whom I met at a very right time, when i needed knowledge to deal with coming up challenges and have faith...
During my free-times as a hobby I love reading books, my favorite writers are: E. Tolle who says that "the primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it". W. Dyer and his amazing movie ´Ambition to Meaning´. Albert Camus and Paulo Coelho are always here to inspire me.
I have strong tendency creating beauty around me; it might appear in a form of architecture - by designing homes, landscaping or tailoring my own dresses, the last work was Michel Jackson - Hussar style jacket. Or working in my organic garden, where one day I´m dreaming about planting entire Rose & Levander plantations.
After really intense working day the best relaxation for my mental tension is: some moments of solitude, peace and quiet, which I can spend far away in my thoughts by imagining and visualizing something or meditating and cultivating my mind by reading some wisdom quotes. For physical tiredness or tensions very much helps traditional lithuanian sauna which follows rituals like jumping into super cold water, I love it :)
As my name Daiva comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ´Destiny´ I do believe having power to create something, that brings happiness for others. That´s kind of my vision and at the same time mission to make it happen...
After 12 years of high school education, there came a time, when I was in a position to make a decision for my future. What do I want to do for the rest of my life? Am I prepared for the decision of a lifetime? who I supposed to be: a journalist, geologist, archaeologist, designer, farmer, florist, teacher, doctor, masseur, psychologist, film-maker, musician, a cook... I wanted to be it all, how could I choose only one?? That was my homework to discover!
I didn't expect any help from my relatives or friends, because their advices were based on comfort which leads to a “normal” life, they were examples of those people who are doing things they don't love and setting low expectations so they're never disappointed. I wanted to follow my passion, was up for the challenge and didn't want to end up hating my live.
The time was ticking away so and I took one of the most important considerations - an alternative choice. Instead of going straight away to any of the suggested universities I decided to take a gap year and spend it traveling the world.
Since then it appeared to be the best school I could have ever attended.
After a year of exploring Europe during different kind of jobs and volunteering programs, the view of what I wanted to do was getting clearer and clearer.
I understood One Thing! The world needs emotional and physical wellbeing. Without that we keep on struggling and suffering instead of going further and enjoying life - what we are here for! But of course, you can only share when you have.
The knowledge was missing. Got a ticket to India. Thought it will be the best place to be in touch with an ancient wisdom from where the Ayurveda - alternative medicine comes from. Was studying (Sanskrit Āyurveda आयुर्वेद, "life-knowledge") for half a year.
India, Kerala, Bangalore, Mumbai was an incredible discover for me. I saw the joy in people eyes when they were down and generosity when they had just a hand of rise to offer. Being far away from home, I started value everything that was left out there; the pure water, the rain, the forest and silence, the apples, four seasons... how rich I was!?
.....
During this period of time, I find out having all the skills needed to perform my best by cultivating my most powerful tool LOVE.
