ABOUT ME

Energetic, artistic, well travelled, democratic Architect who has spent previous chapters of life raising twins in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Now that they're grown I've focused on myself, for a change, & my career, which is why I'm in San Jose during the week. I enjoy meeting other people & exposing myself to other cultures. I have hosted at least 10 foreign exchange persons & stay in touch with all of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted couchsurfers many times & lately receive about one request a week. Unfortunately my job is demanding & I will be having a full house for awhile, making it unfeasible to host again until 2012.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many times since December 2007 with all positive experiences. I stayed at a friend of a couchsurfer's in Washington DC for Obama's first inauguration.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like thinking films & drama, but no violence. R&B is my favorite music, followed by jazz & funk, but I like just about type of music. My daughter is a blues singer & my brother blows out tunes on the harmonica. If you're lucky, they will perform for you. I find myself too busy to read much other than travel books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a non-guided speedboat trip down the Mekong River from northern Laos/Thailand to Luang Prabang, Laos. Also went camping throughout Europe in the early 80's.
