ABOUT ME

I'm a Michigander who has recently relocated to California. I make these things called television shows from time to time... and when that's not working out... I've been known to skip town for a while.

I get along with all walks of life. I talk too much for my own good at times. Long story short, I'd rather be outside or on the road than anywhere else in the world. I crave adventure... and sometimes alcohol.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This will be my first couch surfing experience. I normally crash with friends when I travel, but this time I will be venturing to unfamiliar areas.

Interests

The outdoors... any form of it. Hiking, biking, climbing, boating, fishing... count me in. I'm slightly masochistic in the sense that I enjoy getting my ass kicked by the elements for an extended period of time. I'm also a big fan of FOOD and have been known to enjoy an alcoholic drink from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books

It took me forever to join my generation and listen to modern music... but I'm a HUGE listener of classic rock. Any of it. Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Floyd, Zappa, etc. Also gotta check out the Avett Brothers and Jack White is the man.

My Dad is a funny Italian man who never censored me as a child and just so happened to be my best movie watching partner... so I grew up watching any Martin Scorsese flick you can name. Big fan of action movies... Full Metal Jacket, Goodfellas, or just about any Coen Brothers movie. I can't do the typical chick flick. Never was my thing. And Predator is one of my favorites! Haha.

Books? Hunter S. Thompson, Vonnegut, Kerouac... I was a big Palahniuk fan in high school. Right now I'm reading Jesse Ventura's "Conspiracy Theories" :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fished in Alaska while grizzly bears swam 5 feet by my side.

I dropped everything I was doing at home in Michigan, packed my tiny Chevy Aveo with anything I could fit in it, and drove to California with no direction and no plan... I'm still waiting for the "amazing" part of that story, but it was somewhat "amazing" that I conquered my fears and actually did it.
