About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Thank you to all of my wonderful hosts!!

ABOUT ME

I think my friends would describe me as lovely, confident and talkative. I really like to meet new people and find common ground with them. I like to go to new places, or new areas of old places - just to see what they are like.

TO be honest there are too many things that I want to do - I usually have trouble deciding! At university I am currently involved in a student folk society, a bell ringing society, I often go walking in the countryside with friends and I go to church. I also am busy most evenings - meeting with friends and going to various events. I like music, dancing, films - I am happy to get involved in anything!

PHILOSOPHY

hmmmmm, that is a really hard question! Surely everyone has a mish-mash depending on what life throws at you.
TO live means to find the positives in all situations and all people. To have new experiences and expand your horizons as wide as the Earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done some surfing, am planning some more surfing this summer. I am hoping to become a host again when I am back in Exeter in October!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined in January, I first tried couchsurfing in Easter on a trip from Brussels to Munich. The hospitality was incredible. Couchsurfing is like meeting friends for the first time :-D

I met with a couchsurfer in Exeter a few times and had a great time showing him around.

This summer I did a trip from North Poland to Rome and couchsurfed most of the way. It was amazing. Again, the hosts were incredible and I tried things I would never have tried without couchsurfing. My memories are of wonderful people, helping me to understand and see the places I have yearned to see.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: chick flicks! Im really into period dramas at the moment, "sense and sensibility", "Lark Rise to Candleford" "Jane Eyre" I like seeing new films at the cinema and Im not particularly fussy!

Music: Anything, IM getting into folk music, I like pop and cheese as well as more classic stuff.

Books: I love reading, but to relax. I read a lot of modern novels usually with some romance in there. THe books I have re-read include "The time traveller's wife" "After you'd gone" "Pride and Prejudice" "The travelling hornplayer" "Bridget Jones' Diary" the list is very long!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

THere are too many moments, too many days, too many weeks that have just been amazing to me. I have lived in 7 different places and each was special to me for different reasons.

I lived in Edinburgh for 4 months in 2007. I have such wonderful memories of the people I knew and the things I did that it was truly amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn about people - about what makes them tick. I studied medicine for a year and we once had a lecture about why people go to the doctor's surgery ona particular day/time/place. It is interesting to expand and apply that to people - what holds you to a certain place at a certain time.

Im not sure I have anything to teach. I can play classical guitar and cook some nice food, but hopefully I can teach you to laugh - I am very good at that!
