ABOUT ME

I am a person, who loves to travel while soaking up culture and new friends along the way. I live in a beautiful spot in Costa Rica, at the end of the road, where the jungle covered mountains tumble into the sea. I am a liquid wave surfer and a diver. I hold a black belt in Shotokan Karate. I am a trained bartender and a cook by passion. My interests include health, beauty and spa design. I am a father to a beautiful girl. I speak Spanish poorly, but can smile in any language: ) And monkeys like me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short so live it well. Don't take yourself too seriously, because no one else does. Practice your art and don't be afraid to smile.

I have had the pleasure of surfing around the world and hosting friends as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some wonderful people in Paris, Palma Mallorca, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, Lisbon, and here in Costa Rica. Whether for a place to crash, a drink and local insight or a life long friend, the connections I have made have been priceless.

Interests

Music, wine, people of intelligence and humility. I love the water including sailing. Artistic expression, we are all artisits. Chess, I enjoy chess, although my game is a bit undisciplined.

Music tastes are deep and varied with a gravity toward R&B and rock. Late Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Police/Sting, Peter Gabriel, Ben Harper.

Good movies are hard to come by.Charlie Chaplin flicks are among my favorite. Peter Sellers is pretty classic as well. American Beauty. Monty Python The Meaning of Life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the Space Shuttle take off in an early morning mist and feeling the launch vibration shake you to your core as this rocket hurtles skyward, this might have been one of my most impressive experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always a student of culture, how people live and think. I can help teach english in exchange of French or Spanish. I Like to cook and that is an exhange of culture and history too. I can share ideas from cooking, travel to self defense.
