About Me

I would have to say that I'm a weird mix of a person. I am a shy and reserved most times, but easily open up with people I connect with. I like reading(haven't been doing too much of reading lately though), like travelling and listening to people and their experiences. Will put in more here as time passes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't couchsurfed except once where I met a lovely lady, a friendly, thoughtful wizard, a disinterested cat and a super-friendly dog. We spent a wonderful night filled with fun and conversation.

I want to meet people from every part of the world. I believe we are different and yet the same. I want to explore different thoughts, ideologies and way of doing things and make friends for life!

I believe every meeting is an exchange - of ideas, of perceptions, of personalities. Each brings with it the challenges and rewards of learning something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - whatever catches my interest, also depends on the mood I am in. Usually I listen to pop. I have recently started listening to Jazz/ Bossa Nova and find it soothing for the soul.

Books - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Many Stephen King books, Lord of the Ring (anyday), The Last Lecture

Movies - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Star Wars, Spirited Away

Sitcoms - Agents of Shield, Stranger Things, Arrow

Anime - Akame Ga Kill

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Istanbul alone, getting lost in the city and loving every moment of it.

Swimming in the back waters near Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka.

Climbing down steep rocks and touch the Atlantic Ocean on a windy day in Ireland.

Dancing joyfully with an 80-year old who was a young spirit.

Reinvented myself :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - I can teach you to cook an Indian meal, languages that I speak and some life lessons I have learnt along the way.

Learn - Everyone is a mystical blend of thoughts, personalities and attitudes. There is so much to learn!

Share - Happiness, a good meal, life experiences, conversations
