What interests me most about travelling is the opportunity to experience the common thread binding humanity - joy ,sorrow, discrimination, love, affluence, poverty , amidst all the diversity in nationality,colour, class , education. And of course reading books in quaint coffee shops, walking across towns , commuting by public transport,listening to local music , understanding local culture and social habits. I do try to maintain my daily routine of yoga and meditation (vipassana) . Though over the years I have enjoyed travelling alone, my upbringing in a country ….to community makes me adapt to different places and people with ease.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

In the new age definitions of space,freedom,independence ,couch surfing is an oasis of harmony, adjustment, sharing . While I am not specifically looking for company when I travel or host I do enjoy conversations on culture , economy ,politics, art, music which gives perspective on the diverse ways of life.

Interessen

Walks in nature , arts and culture , exploring towns by walk, yoga, reading, cooking (vegetarian),. Few things bore me in life ! My daily meditation practice keeps me balanced. So I like to think :-)
I am a Chartered Accountant and ex-banker, professional classical vocalist in the South Indian Carnatic tradition with a Masters degree and a certified yoga instructor.
