About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To approach love and cooking with reckless abandon

ABOUT ME

Perhaps the things I´ve done say a lot about me?

I´ve partied in salt mines, deserts, extinct volcanic craters, converted warehouses, bank vaults, shopping centre carparks, apartment roofs, beaches, islands, boats, ships, buses... etc.

I´ve slept in bathtubs, churches, pirate ships, hammocks, neighbour´s backyards, alleyways, parks, beaches, pizza restaurant frontyards, costume shop dressing rooms, train stations, floors, ecovillages, deserts, cars, tents, porches, balconies, chairs put together, cubby houses, toilet cubicles, rainforests... etc. I´m sure I´ve slept standing up once.

I´ve survived monsoons in Thailand, typhoons in Japan, hailstorms in Australia, windstorms in Ireland and hurricane seasons in Guatemala.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short for bad wine. If you don´t remember it, it didn´t happen. Be nice to your Mum. Snot has little nutritional value. Citronella oil is not a wise choice of beverage. Pooh is not a body part.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just returned from 1.5 years travelling through Latin America, but am unable to host at the moment...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Awesome! I´ve surfed in 2 apartments in Rio during the Carnivale, in an Eco-village in Northern Brazil, by the beach in South Brazil and in the heart of the city in Paraguay...

Music, Movies, and Books

Goonies, The Dark Crystal, Labrynth- old-school classics are my favourite. Also Run Lola Run, The Usual Suspects, The Muppets, Pan´s Labrynth, BMX Bandits, Virgin Suicides, Chocolate. My favourite artists are Afrocelt Sound System, Thievery Corporation, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Shpongle, Enigma and I´ve recently got into Jorge Ben and Almendra.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being kissed by an elephant, having lunch with orangatans, being propositioned to rob a bank and escape to China by a loonie with a gun stuffed down his pants, sharing a mandarin with nuns through a van window while I was on a motorbike, swimming with whale-sharks, spending 3 nights on a pirate ship, nearly being thrown out of Richard Branson´s casino in Vegas for cartwheeling (I was inspired by the previous evening´s performance of Cirque de Soleil), hitching a ride in the back of a police truck, spending 62 days in silence, skinny dipping in the Dead Sea, being evacuated to a high school gymnasium on an isolated island at a music festival during a typhoon after it started raining horizontally, seeing a band of fully automated robots play music.. the list goes on and the adventures continue!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would happily teach yoga, meditation and Japanese abd Spanish. I am always open and interested in learning new skills, particularly languages .

What I Can Share with Hosts
