ABOUT ME

My names Alistair McQueen, but if your nasty you can call me Smokin' McQueen. I'm a burlesque, vaudeville, and sideshow entertainer from North Carolina. I'm a free spirit, a gypsy, and an artist. I just moved to Pittsburgh to go back to school for film.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to enjoy my life. No delaying happiness and no prolonging misery. I want to live my life to the fullest and love every moment. I want to smile and laugh as much as possible and also make others smile and laugh as much as possible. I love performing and want to be an entertainer and an artist the rest of my life. Of course that may mean bouts of poverty, but at the end of the day its about being happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up, and am about to start traveling for the next two years. Hopefully, if the time calls somebody will be able to help me find a place to sleep, fill me in with local culture, or maybe I'll just get to share and experience and understand other groups and people, and then one day I can return the favor to someone else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed on friends couches for either days at a time or months while inbetween travels in my hometown. I've learned to keep my space, help nurture the space as their environment, and most of all keep tidy.

I was on America's Got Talent doing a classic burlesque striptease. Sharon Osbourne snapped my suspenders, Hasselhoff told me I looked too skinny, I asked him if I should eat a cheesburger, and Jerry Springer was one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I've been a performer, show producer, and promoter for over 8 years. I'm not a half bad dancer and I've got a green thumb in the garden. I'm also not half bad in most areas of arts and crafts and I'm always wanting to learn anything to further my artistic abilities. I can build shit too!
And I come with camera.
