About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I work in academe which is rewarding but potentially aloof. I travel, hike, and meet people to keep myself grounded!
ABOUT ME
I teach literature at a university in Pasig City, Metro Manila. So I don't become a stereotypical academic, the kind cooped up with dead men's books, I travel, climb mountains, and meet people!
I'm more coffee than beer, more stroll in the park than night out at the club.
PHILOSOPHY
There is such a thing as absolute truth and free will. We can agree or disagree over coffee. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had to force land an ultralight plane on a relatively short dirt road with an irrigation ditch and rice paddies on its sides and with children playing on it. Made it without a scratch. I kissed the ground like the pope!
Also, I've gotten lost on a mountain range outside Manila. A police rescue team was sent out but they didn't find us. We trudged all the way to their headquarters and got there before they did.

Brunei Darussalam, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, United States
