ABOUT ME

Fourth-year vet student at Edinburgh University.... Travelling is a huge priority for me, I’ve been to North and South America, around the majority of Europe, Africa and SE Asia, and a bit of the Middle East; unfortunately, and as much as I’d like to deny it, the sciences are more my forte than languages, and despite eight years of Russian I am not fluent, despite efforts to change that this summer! I love world cuisine and world music, I love to read and have a habit of picking up random hobbies such as learning the sitar and participating on paleontological digs (though my attention span can be, at times, brief, and sometimes such projects are forgotten quite quickly). I’d like to gear my veterinary studies towards public health; I’m interested in the marriage between human and veterinary medicine in the developing world, either directly (via transmission of zoonotic diseases in urban slums from dogs/mice/etc. to humans) or indirectly (via the impact of livestock losses on human health). COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Krakow, Vienna, Sarajevo and Ohrid (Macedonia), and with my flatmates in Edinburgh we've hosted 5 surfers.

Intereses

My interests include reading, TRYING (and mainly failing) to learn languages and the sitar, world music and cuisine, wildlife conservation and zoo medicine, skiing/ice skating, SCUBA diving...the list goes on...
