ABOUT ME

I'm a student, a teacher, an artist, a builder, a designer, an adventurer, a young professional, a laid back islander, a good cook, a big foodie, a big traveler and a good story teller.

I was born in Trinidad, of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Moved to Miami in 2004, Philly in 2010 and in 2014 I came really close to taking a job offer in Sydney, Australia, but decided on an opportunity in San Francisco, CA instead. Even though I love Philly, I love living near the ocean. I love the outdoors and all activities that surround a beach culture.

I'm an Architect and a Landscape Architect by training; part designer and smaller part environmentalist, or perhaps a sustainability engineer of sorts?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Coming from a multicultural background I'm always eager to meet different people from different cultures.

Culturally, both my parents are from Trinidad, but ethnically, my mom is Chinese and my dad is Indian.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a member for a great number of years now, but I haven't taken advantage of the opportunities available to couch surf around the world as much as I should have. I've only officially surfed once thus far and it was a great experience.

I have lots of experience unofficially surfing with friends I've made around the world and I love it. It's both humbling and liberating at the same time. Always grateful for new experiences.

Interests

I love cooking some pretty fancy meals when I have the time. Design, scuba, soccer, outdoors, camping, swimming, cars, fabrication.

My music varies a lot to, from samba to soca ( music from Trinidad), to indie rock, classic rock, jazz, blues, House, Pop, Rap, dancehall and reggae.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped out of a plane at 3000 ft.

Petted a wild amora eel 75' below while a sting ray hovered next to me getting fish from my dive instructor!
