About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming
ABOUT ME
I am originally from rural Pennsylvania in the USA - but have also lived in Kansas and Indiana in the US and in the Black Forest area in Germany. My husband and I moved to Tirana, Albania in 2014. I currently work with students at an international school as a School Counselor and I also teach Advanced Placement Psychology (husband is an elementary teacher). Prior to working on the high school side, I spent several years working in higher education in Student Affairs/Residence Life at a small university in the Midwest, USA.
PHILOSOPHY
I love to travel; to meet people, see places and learn history, experience culture and allow it to change my life.
Lord make me an instrument of they peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
it is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.
-St. Francis of Assisi

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking forward meeting new people and exploring new places through CS!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted when we lived in Indiana, but we have not yet been hosted. However, I have however done my share of sleeping on couches of friends of friends (and sometimes friends of friends of friends) - and that is pretty much what we are going for here anyway, right?
