To travel as much as possible, and expand my mind beyond the norms society has to offer.

ABOUT ME

Growing up, I learned how to sail. Left for the Navy after high school, to work on the flight deck of aircraft carriers. I haven't traveled the world's ports, but miles of ocean. I met people from all over the world, which has enlightened me to travel as much as possible before I die. I want to trek across the country either hitch hiking or riding a bicycle, maybe....some day I want to back pack europe for as long as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Great knowledge is gauged by the distances one has traveled. The more people I meet, new places I explore, and adventures I make, the wiser I become.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been living as the "guy on couch" for quite a few years now. Most recently, I've played the role as 'babysitter' to a friend, watching his kids while he is at work, and I sleep on his couch

I'm rather easy to entertain. I've spent many years studying computer technology and networking. Some of my hobbies include, playing disc golf, skateboarding, snowboarding, and playing military simulation paintball scenarios.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I squatted in a 6 bedroom house for about 2 months in a very rural part of Illinois. The previous owners had lost the property to the bank as they were having difficulty paying to raise 9 kids. While waiting for auction, the house was empty, but all the utilities were still turned on. I wrote a few thousands words on the experience of it all.
