About Me

I'm fairly laid back and adventurous. I'm studying Sculpture and Environmental Art in Glasgow and love it. I get to make things, get my hands dirty, be as creative as I want and have a really flexible schedule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had a Couchsurfing profile for years but I've never made use of it! Now I'm a little older, living in my own flat and comfortable travelling alone I'm definitely going to take full advantage!
I love to travel and discover new places but I believe that you gain more of an experience by being shown local gems and meeting new people. I've had a few chance encounters with some fantastic people while I was travelling across Europe and I'd love some more of that!

Interests

My interests can be a little erratic - I enjoy staying in bed in my pyjamas watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer just as much as I like going out to a club and dancing all night!
Generally though, I love contemporary art and visiting galleries, taking photographs of abandoned buildings, gardening and growing vegetables, cooking big pots of vegan curry for my friends, drinking wine, reading poetry, listening to music and being outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm happily obsessed with Harry Potter. I also enjoy Sylvia Plath, Irvine Welsh, Hubert Selby Jr., Shakespeare, T.S. Elliot, Tolkien and James Joyce.
Neutral Milk Hotel and Paul Simon are what's usually playing on my iPod but on a night out I enjoy dancing to reggae, dub, garage and 90's R&B.
Eagle vs Shark is my favourite film right now, I love anything that can make me laugh and feel slightly uncomfortable at the same time but I also have a soft spot for a really scary horror movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I've done is learn to enjoy my own company and not care what anyone else thinks. It opens up so many opportunities for me, leads me on new adventures and introduces me to new people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook big meals for lots of people, it's definitely my way of spreading love! I'm also a great listener and can give some really good advice. I know my way around a vegetable patch, can use an electric drill and a circular saw, know how to out up a great set of shelves and paint a wall!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share company, advice, stories, home cooked meals and lots of positive energy!
