Overview
About Me
I was born in Caracas and moved to Santiago at the age of 12. This cultural change had a huge effect on me. I think that the world can be a better place, based on tolerance, and everyday i'm trying to play my part. I'm respectful with everyone and their beliefs, as long as they do the same.
I'm sort of nerd-ish, love to learn new things, specially science. Space and nature amazes me. I enjoy music very much in all its genders, but prefer the all-time classicals of rock.
For having fun, I like cities and the vibrant culture in them, love to find the hidden places and learn the history of every city.
For resting and recharging, nothing like the beach... and for feeling great, meditate and feed my spirit, nothing like nature, forests and deserts, snow and sun.
And I brew my own beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new, amazing people. Have fun, talk, listen to music and share interests.
I believe sharing with locals is the most nourishing thing to do, instead of isolating oneself. I always try to help travelers in my city however I can.
Sadly, I can't host right now because i'm living in a relative's place.
Interests
I love nature. Everything related to it, like glaciers, mountains, forests and big parks. Also physics, math, astronomy and biology. Some philosophy, but with a practical approach.
On more social sciences.. economics, history.
I'm learning to play guitar. It has been a steep curve, though. I also enjoy cycling a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite Music is Rock.. and David Gilmour, solo and Pink Floyd, though I enjoy the sounds of almost every gender. Brazilian music is also on the top-list. I also enjoy latin rythms, nothing is better for dancing!
I like reading a lot of non-fiction. My shelf is full of innovation, business and marketing books. Though they're not always technical. Some of my favorites are "Why Nations Fail", "Red Notice" and "Predictably Irrational".
Movies.. I love going to the cinema. I prefer drama, scif-fi and thrillers. Some of my favorites are Interstellar, The Departed, Matrix, Pulp fiction, The Godfather, Inception, Seven, Intouchables.. to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling 12 straight hours from Santiago to a coast city 150km away.
I walked 15 km under heavy rain, carrying 30kg backpack, slept in a wet tent to get up at 6am, walk another 10km in the mountains to admire an over 3.000 year-old tree.
The Mamalluca observatory. I visited on a clear night and spent hours looking at stars that can't be seen from anywhere else due to light pollution.
Guri dam, Venezuela. It's the biggest in South America and an amazing view.
And finally, a snow storm in Trondheim, Norway. End up totally wet and cold but it was amazing.
