My name is Sofia and I'm from Puerto Rico. I study Marketing and Foreign Languages. The past semester I was on an exchange in Madrid for a semester and I'm currently doing an eurotrip.

Since I was a little girl I always found fascination in learning new things, and as I grew older I discovered what really I am passionate about. These includes art, creating social impact and exploring the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to try couchsurfing because when a friend mentioned the concept it intrigued me. It's a different way of learning about the country your visiting and at the same tisme meet new people and hear their stories.

I'm interested in learning about cultures different than my own. Learn new languages. AIESEC. Music. Literature. Exploring new countries. Singing.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste vary: classical, rock, alternative, latin, etc. My favorite band at the moment is Imagine Dragons and Calle 13.

My favorite book authors are Federico Garcia Lorca, Edgar Allan Poe, JK Rowling, Carlos Ruiz Zafon and John Green.

Recently I haven't seen that much movies but my favorites are Pan's Labyrinth, Shutter Island, Inception, Nosotros los nobles, Mean Girls, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2013 I went to an internship in Rome, I was working at a camp as the Spanish and Culture Diversity Teacher. It was an amazing experience for me because I impacted children's lives even though I come from a small island. I didn't know Italian but I went for it and created beautiful memories while being there.
