Currently au pairing in Switzerland and spending my weekends in the mountains. I'm from the west coast of Canada originally, and love any and all outdoor activities. I grew up sailing around coastal BC, which has strongly influenced my love of backpacking and taking the slow route when travelling. When I'm in cities, I love learning about the history of the area and getting lost in new neighborhoods. Im just as happy in a quiet cafe with a book, in the middle of a snowstorm on a mountain, or making new friends at 2am in a hostel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm more comfy on a couch/floor/tent/side of a cliff that probably isn't meant for sleeping on/hammock than I am in a nice hotel bed.

Interests

I spend as much time as I can in the mountains, either skiing, hiking, climbing, or swimming in freezing lakes. My ideas are often spontaneous and I'm always open to trying new things. In cities, I love finding unique little places and getting completely lost.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love outdoor/adventure documentaries and books, classic rock, indie, and anything with an acoustic guitar. Favourite authors at the moment are Jon Krakauer and Elif Shafak. Always looking for new music and books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept outside under the stars in the middle of the BC mountains in winter, cracked holes in a frozen lake to use a rope swing, and had a spontaneous dance party in a tiny mountain village the middle of Nepal to name a few :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Would love to get to know some people in Switzerland, so always open for coffee chats, exploring cities, and nights out. I'm very accustomed to sharing spaces with strangers, and am just as comfortable with a quiet night inside as I am with a night out with new people. If you enjoy the outdoors, I would love to explore the mountains and share some Canadian 'traditions" (not limited to hiking in the dark for sunrise and jumping in lakes regardless if they're frozen or not)
